Designed with functionality in mind, use and enjoy these handcrafted, one of a kind pieces. Do you have some sentimental horse shoes or pieces of wood from an old barn or granary that that you would like "Upcycled" / "Designed" and forged into a piece of western craft? We can help you with that. We take pride in this work that keeps us busy in the winter months when the horse work slows down for a bit.
We are now also hosting one on one Introduction to Knife making COURSES that teach the basics of forging your own knife! These are typically 2 full days in length from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and we do serve a light lunch (chili & buns / sandwiches). Currently these run on weekends, but weekdays could be made available when necessary. Attendees are asked to provide their own PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, fitted coveralls and appropriate footwear.) These classes offer you the chance to use our forges, anvils, hammers, and grinders to see if the process of building a knife is something you enjoy before investing in all the necessary equipment! Please note that these courses are physically demanding. We are also offering Advanced Knife Building Courses which will offer the Introduction to Knifemaking Course attendees the opportunity to "plan" their next course with Dave and then receive one on one support building the knife of their choice with advanced processes.
