Description

2 day HANDS ON ... ONE on ONE course held at 22 Louden Park, near Alberta Beach.

You will forge a blade from available steel, then go through the processes of grinding, heat treating, and handling the blade to create a finished knife.

Typically held on weekends but when necessary weekdays can be arranged.

This gives the beginning knife maker the opportunity to use the tools of this trade in a fully supervised environment. You will choose your knife style, handle material and then forge your project knife from 1095 steel and use our hammers, Anvils, Forges, Grinders to experience the knife making process! Note that this is a very physically demanding course. A light lunch like chili or sandwiches and coffee break snacks are included.

Participants are asked to provide their own PPE for this course (safety glasses, hearing protection, fitted coveralls & leather gloves, suitable footwear, respirator if wanted)
